Starting blog on wordpress is very simple mostly,  we could complete and launch the blog within 30 to 45 minutes that's the power of wordpress. Do you know wordpress power 25% of the website in the world ? The main part of the starting blog is to choosing hosting plan and selecting most suitable domain names. In this article i am going to show you that how to start a blog on wordpress,

Choose your hosting plan :

There are lots of hosting provider available in the market, I am suggesting you to choose Hostgator approximately 90% of HostGator customers reported being satisfied with HostGator and the services it provides. Industry-leading customer service and support is at the forefront of what HostGator does on a day-to-day basis. The company is constantly working to improve and refine that service and support and achieve its goal of becoming the world leader in the global web hosting market.

Go to HostGator’s main page (the link opens in a new window so you can follow along), and click on the “Web Hosting” tab or choose Get Started Now!. You’ll get brought to a page where they show their different hosting packages as shown below.

If you need help on choosing correct Hosting provider, check this guide -> How to Choose Web Hosting Provider?  and Comparision of Different Hosting Services

Mostly Hatchlink plan is enough in the starting stage of the blog, we can also update in future if needed. Hit Sign Up Now on the plan of your choosing.

Choose a Domain Name :

Once you hit the Sign Up Now! button, you’ll be taken to the HostGator Order Wizard. The first box you’ll be filling out is your domain name. This is whatever you want your website name to be. For example, mine is leopathu.in but you may want your website to be yourname.com or whatever your heart desires. Keep in mind that if the domain name is already taken, you cannot use it, and it will tell you that it is unavailable. It has to be one that no one has claimed yet. Make sure the “Register a New Domain” tab is selected.

Most domain names (especially if you choose .com) cost $12.95 per year which gets added onto your total at the end.

Enter Your Hosting Information :

The next section is for you to fill out your hosting package information. Whatever package you chose in Step 1 should be filled in for the first box, but you can change it here if you would like. The main thing you need to focus on here is the “Billing Cycle”. The more months that you pay for up front, the cheaper your rate per month will be. For example, I paid for 36 months up front which gives you the cheapest rate per month. However, if you want to pay for a shorter period of time (1 or 2 years) to start you can, but keep in mind that you’ll pay more per month, too.

For example, with the Hatchling plan, if you want to pay for 1 year up front, it will cost about $5.50 a month or about $66 total for a year (plus the cost of the domain name and Domain Privacy if applicable). If you choose 3 years with the Hatchling plan, it will cost about $3.95 a month or about $48 per year, but you will be paying for 3 years up front so it would be around $150 (plus the cost of the domain name and Domain Privacy if applicable) but you would have hosting for 3 years before having to pay again.

Enter Your Billing Information :

Fill out necessary information in the billing form,

Review Order Details & Create Account :

After you have completed all the steps, review your order details. Notice that you get 24/7/365 Phone, LiveChat, and Email Support for free and you get a 45 Day Money Back Guarantee if you decide blogging isn’t for you!
